1938 Mercedes Benz 540K Speciale Roadster

According to an internal document issued by Daimler-Benz, number 265396 – the car was completed on February 25, 1938. The Mercedes-Benz, bodied as the 540 K Special Roadster, was intended for Maurice Zamarii, a resident of Jaffa – now part of Tel Aviv, Israel – and the shipment date is listed as April 12. However, it is understood that due to global instability as the clouds of war loomed over Europe, the Mercedes-Benz never left the country. Instead, it is reported that the 540 K was discovered in Germany after the war.
